１８０５年１０月２１日、英国海軍がフランス・スペイン連合艦隊に勝利したトラファルガー海戦。その勝利１００周年を祝して、ヘンリー・ウッド卿がイギリスの愛唱歌等９曲を、管弦楽版に編曲しました。ここでは、３曲を弦楽アンサンブルにしてみました。
The Battle of Trafalgar was fought on October 21, 1805, in which the Royal Navy defeated the combined French and Spanish fleets. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the victory, Sir Henry Wood arranged nine of Britain's favorite songs into orchestral versions. Here, I have created three songs as a string ensemble.
